Studies emphasizes the process of interpreting literary
texts in their broader intellectual and cultural contexts.
Students who complete the Literary Studies major will
gain a broad acquaintance with literatures of different
periods and cultures, including literature in translation.
The School offers courses in many areas, including
Literary Analysis, World Literature, Mythology, English
and American
Literature, Literature of the Bible, European Romanticism,
Women’s Literature, Fantasy and Science Fiction,
Poetry and Children’s Literature.
