28th ANNUAL HOLDAY SING - A Child's Christmas

Series: Rising Stars
Date:
Sunday, December 5
Time: 7:30 p.m. - Traditional Program
Venue: University Theatre

Ticket Price: Admission is free and unticketed.

Because of the popularity of this annual holiday event, it is recommended that patrons arrive early to take their seats. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. A special reserved seating area will be available for members of the Tiers of Friendship.

The Holiday Sing began at UTD 28 years ago with a simple invitation to the university's neighbors to visit the campus for a special event. Since then, the concert has become a favorite tradition for residents of the Dallas and Richardson areas.

Featuring the UTD Chamber Singers, the UTD Chorale and the Symphonic Brass Quintet, under the direction of Kathryn Evans, this celebration emphasizes the family-friendly nature of an evening that will include readings, Christmas Carols from around the world, a special rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas and a special visit by Santa Claus.

Sing-a-long Songs:
Jingle Bells
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
The First Noel
We Three Kings
Joy to the World
Silent Night

Readings from:
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas
Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement Moore
