András Csáki was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1981. He began to play the classical guitar in 1992. In 2000 he finished the Bartók Béla Conservatory in Budapest. His teacher was Szilvágyi Sándor. At the moment he is a full time student in Budapest at the Liszt Ferenc Music University, by Professor Eötvös József.

From 1996 he has won some awards at national and international classical music contests. The International Anna Amailia Junior Guitar Competition, (Weimar, 1st prize and a special prize for the best performance of a classical piece,1999), XXVI International Musical Contest “Dr. Luis Sigall” (Vina del Mar-Chile, 1st prize, grand award “Isidor Handler”, 1999).The 4th International Guitar Competition of J.K. Mertz (Bratislava 1st prize, 2003), John Duarte Competition (Rust 1st prize 2004).

From 1995 he has been participant of national and international guitar courses: he attended masterclasses by A. Carlevaro, Costas Cotsiolis, T. Müller-Pering, Kováts Barna, Vásáry Tamás, Martin Myslivecek
