Amsterdam artist in residence at Centraltrak, Dadara will give a talk on “Checkpoint Dreamyourtopia,” a project built and designed for the Burning Man Event, 2008. “Checkpoint Dreamyourtopia” will be re-erected at Centraltrak Saturday January 10, 2009

Tribute to Texas Tenors

The School of Arts & Humanities and the City of Richardson join forces to present a high-quality two-day jazz festival, centered on the historical elements of jazz in the Dallas area.
UPDATE: David Newman will not be performing. James "Red" Holloway will now be headlining Saturday's concert.
- The Woody Herman Orchestra, directed by Frank Tiberi, headlines the Friday night concert. Local favorite, the Texas Instruments Jazz Band, directed by Paul Westbrook, entertains the audience with a pre-show concert at 7:30.
- Saturday night features young local Texas tenor saxophonist Quamon Fowler opening for James "Red" Holloway.
