Masters or Ph.D. candidates will find course offerings in Studies in Literature challenging and rewarding as they continue their literary pursuits. A strong component of the program is courses that revolve around themes, theories, forms, and genres. Students are also offered a variety of classes in literary criticism, from ancient to modern. Further, courses on major authors are an exciting way to become fluent in the works of literary figures such as Dante, Austen, Tolstoy and Faulkner. In addition, UTD also offers courses in the art and craft of translation.
